Subject: Mixing analog sith pulse / direction control
Hello.

I've been running my setup with kflop/kanalog to analog moog servos with success for some time. Also do the control through mach3. But looking to add a possiable 3rd and 4th z axis. Since I don't have any more moog amps I'd probably do something simple like a dc brushed servo motor to those 2 axis and thinking either command a gecko servo controll like a 320 or snap amp.

Question is, can I do motion control with both analog and step dirtection mixed on the same kflop with a kmotion attached?

Hi Bill,

Yes you can mix Step/Dir drives with analog drives.  One way is to use the (4) Step/Dir outputs coming out of KFLOP JP5.  When you disconnect this from Kanalog you will loose 8 of 16 differential inputs on Kanalog (JP2), but everything else on Kanalog will still function.
